Adam Shaw has committed his professional life to education, serving as a teacher, coach, principal, athletic director, special education director, technology coordinator, superintendent and elementary principal since 2000.  Adam received his undergraduate degree from Dakota State University in May of 2000.  He was hired by the Flandreau School District to teach middle school science.  In 2004 he re-entered college and obtain two masters degrees from the University of Sioux Falls.  His first masters degree focused on school administration and his second masters was in educational technology.  Mr. Shaw was hired by the Marion School District in 2006 to be the high school principal and technology coordinator.  Mr. Shaw has also worked as the athletic director for the Marion School District as well as coached football and wrestling. 
During the school year of 2008, Mr. Shaw re-entered the college setting and began working on his educational specialist degree.    In the spring of 2010 Mr. Shaw was hired to be the superintendent and elementary principal for the Marion School District.  In May of 2012 Mr. Shaw graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with his Educational Specialist degree.
Mr. Shaw and his wife Kate, a dental assistant, have three children at home.  Brandon is 12 and is in the 7th grade, McKenna is 8 and is in 3rd grade and Daveney is 7 and attends 1st grade
.  The Shaw family remains busy on a daily basis, especially when school is in session.
